3M: cool brand extension

probably something i should have been paying attention to more before, but now that i'm taking all these strategy classes, i notice a lot more when companies are doing smart things with their capabilities. i thought this was a cool one: 3M uses its knowledge in adhesives to break into other categories besides just post-its and stickies. this product, the fur fighter hair remover, can be used on furniture and clothes to get rid of pet hair. uh, if i had a dog, i would definitely need this!
